China's Ambassdors to Israel found dead in tel aviv home

The Chinese ambassador to Israel was found dead in his apartment in Herzliya

Sources said Dove, 58, suffered a heart attack at night and was found dead in his bed. He was appointed envoy for the corona virus epidemic in February, and is survived by a wife and son.

Chinese Ambassador Do Wei was found dead Sunday morning in his apartment in Herzliya. He was 58 years old.
Die Yuming, the ambassador's deputy, confirmed the death at an official press briefing.
Although the cause of death has not yet been determined, sources said the ambassador suffered a heart attack overnight and his aide found him dead in his bed.
He was appointed ambassador for coronavirus epidemics in February. He previously served as China's ambassador to Ukraine from 2016 to 2019.
He is survived by a wife and a son, both of whom are no longer in the country.
The Foreign Ministry's director general said he spoke to the ambassador's deputy and offered his condolences as well as any embassy assistance as a result of the ceremony.
Shortly after taking office, Doe posted a message of encouragement to Israelis, which appeared on the Chinese embassy's official Facebook page. "The world is engulfed in a major epidemic challenge and Israel is affected," the statement said.
"The Israeli people in society [during the outbreak] offered valuable assistance to China ... Now, we want to give you our support in the fight against this disease."
On Friday, he posted a message on the Chinese embassy's website rejecting US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's claim of coronavirus cover-up.
The Chinese embassy in Israel said Pompeo had for years labeled Chinese products, investments and people as security risks without providing any evidence to support his claims.
The statement said, "We are confident that our Jewish friends will be able to defeat not only the Corona virus but also the 'political virus' and will take practical steps that will be in their best interests.
